To say 2023 flew by is an understatement. To call it the best and worst of times is an even bigger understatement.
As the year comes to a close, we’re highlighting the significant strides we’ve made in our mission to create genuine and meaningful relationships between brands and the LGBTQ+ community. Our valued partners have experienced success even in challenging times, and our dedicated readers, the pulse of our community, have provided inspiration and unwavering support.
Join us as we delve into the achievements, the impact on our readers’ lives, and the collective progress toward creating a more inclusive and supportive space for the LGBTQ+ community.
Branded Content By The Numbers
Representation will always matter because it holds a mirror to our wider community of humans. With a global spending power of $4.7 trillion, the LGBTQ+ needs ads that reflect our world.
We were fortunate enough to work with more than 65 brands to publish LGBTQ+-friendly ads featuring and, at times, created by LGBTQ+ people. So far, we have served more than 465 million impressions across our owned properties and networks. This number will continue to grow with campaigns currently in progress until the end of the year.
Branded Videos That Matter
Our Queerty + Oraquick video was, by far, one of the catchiest jingles of the year. We enlisted singing sensations Tomás Matos, Lagoona Bloo, Peppermint & Julian Burzynski to show how HIV testing at home is easier (and more essential) than ever.
This was also our first branded campaign for our new Queerty Tiktok page.
Season 3 of Queerty + GO RVING, “Best RV Life” premiered this year. With a focus on modern LGBTQ+ families camping. Watch as Jory & Vanessa take their family on the road for an unforgettable adventure.
In our final season of the groundbreaking series, “Authentic Voices of Pride presented by Chevrolet”, we spoke with Billy Porter and Admiral Rachel Levine about the fight for LGBTQ+ equality in healthcare.
We Found Time To Release Our First Book!
LGBTQ Nation’s “Queer Here. Queer There. We’re Not Going Anywhere: LGBTQ+ Wit, Wisdom and Badass Affirmations features an unmatched collection of quotes from historical figures, athletes, influencers, celebrities, civil rights activists, politicians and more, all highlighting the joy, humor, outrage and insights of the LGBTQ community.
In addition to 300+ quotes, the book will have 50+ affirmations, each with a brief meditation that explores the meaning of the affirmation and its relevance to the reader.
